The Chesapeake
Society for Microscopy (CSM) is a regional organization for people with
interests in any form of microscopy. As of 2001 the society has
more than 110 members. The mission of the CSM is to stimulate
interest and activitie in microscopy. To this end the society
sponsors a wide range of activities, including seminars, workshops,
poster meetings, news letters and much more. The CSM also seeks to
involve students and teachers at the high school and grade school level by
providing speakers who will go to schools and give presentations on
microscopy. There is also a ``Teacher of the Year Award."
The CSM is an affiliate of the Microscopy
Society of America (MSA).
